Governance Structure of the Elections in Africa (EIA)

Executive Committee

Responsible for overall strategic direction and decision-making for the EIA.
Comprised of key leaders from member countries, regional organizations, and stakeholder organizations.
Approves budgets, major policies, and oversees the operations of the EIA.

Steering Committee

Oversees the day-to-day operations of the EIA.
Comprised of representatives from member countries and key stakeholders.
Implements the strategic direction set by the Executive Committee and manages resources.

Regional Coordinators

Appointed to oversee EIA operations in specific regions of Africa.
Coordinates activities at the regional level and ensures compliance with EIA policies.
Provides support to member countries within their region.

Country Coordinators

Appointed to oversee EIA operations in individual countries.
Coordinates activities at the country level and liaises with local stakeholders.
Ensures smooth implementation of EIA programs and initiatives.

Program Managers

Responsible for implementing specific programs and initiatives within the EIA.
Plans, budgets, and executes programs in line with the organization’s objectives.
Reports to the Country or Regional Coordinators as appropriate.

Field Officers

Implement on-the-ground activities related to EIA programs.
Liaise with local communities, organize events, and support Program Managers.
